My little lamb cake for Easter

I make this lamb cake every year for Easter.
I found the directions in a magazine. You make it with 2 pound cakes and a cup cake. Being ol' cheapo I am, I just make to loafs and a cup cake from a cake box mix.
You need: cake mix, frosting, coconut (optional), mini mashmellows, 2 large marshmellows, candy.

This is straight from the magazine on how to cut your loaves and put them together. Here is mine.

Then frost it, everywhere!
start putting all those mashmellows on!
I take one mashmellow and cut it in half placing the cut ends into some sprinkles. I used chocolate chips for the eyes and nose. The grass is coconut and green food coloring. The rest is just some candy for the mouth, bell, and colar. Last big marshmellow goes on for his tail.
This is my little tribute to the lamb of God.

Wew! The month of April is at it's end and I have only posted 1 time!!

Shame on me! Sorry to leave you out on the porch. This past month has been busy, but I am not even sure what I have been doing.

well easter is passed, but I do want to show you the dresses I made for the girls and myself. No we did not match. But how cute. I made the girls from an edited version of the McCalls 3531. When I puchased the material, I could not figure out why I could not understand the quantities. Well the dress is suppose to be 2 pieces, the dress and a penifold over it. Well that would have resulted in 4 pieces to make for the girls and well, momma only started them the monday before Easter and still had my own to do starting that Thursday (febric went on sale that day). Well I just ended up making it look like 2 pieces. I ended up also adding a tie in the back to help it fit better.
Here is mine, from Simplicity 2886. I have already worn it 2 times and I love it. I thought it was more an A line dress but it is not. It is a current style that has pleating all the way around at the bust. Well if you are shapes like an apple, A lines are perfect, but this style, well I just figured I would get used to width of it. Because man of man, it makes me look wide! But it does have pockets and I will feel no pain if I have another cookies, LOL! I may later add a few pleats to help it fit me better.
I will be back soon.

Check out this chair!

This was my son's birthday chair. Sorry had to block face, per husband. This was a little tricky, I did it with Janelle C. as her first sewing pattern. I had the pattern and the fabric for atleast 6 years. Talk about a project I never finished. We ripped the seems out alot in this project because of not paying attention to shat goes where. That is qute embarrassing, since there are only 10 total pieces.
This is from an out of print pattern, McCalls 9665
There is a variation that also makes a love seat for 2 children that you can still purchase, you need to go to the Mccalls pattern website.

A cricut cutout worth noting!

My friend, Marie came over to get a few cricut lessons and to show off her work. All I could teach her was the mechanics of the machine, she has the creativity down. check out here creations from the speaking of fall cartridge.
